Clearline Frameless Glass Balustrade
Clearline® Frameless Glass Balustrades – Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Queenstown & Wanaka
Clearline® is a premium frameless glass balustrade system trusted by architects across Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Queenstown, and Wanaka for projects where clean lines, concealed fixings, and seamless integration are essential.
Designed for high-end residential and commercial architecture, Clearline delivers a truly minimalist finish with exceptional structural performance. With over 25 engineered mounting details, the system achieves a fully hidden fixing solution — with no visible posts, clamps, or brackets — allowing the balustrade to disappear into the architecture while maintaining strength and compliance.
Fully Frameless Glass Balustrades – No Top Rail Required
Clearline is purpose-designed for side-mounted and concealed-fix glass balustrades, using laminated SentryGuard™ glass to achieve a fully frameless aesthetic without the need for a top rail.
This makes it ideal for balconies, decks, pool surrounds, and stair balustrades where uninterrupted views and clean architectural lines are critical.
- No visible fixings or brackets
- No top rail required (laminated glass system)
- Low maintenance and corrosion resistant
- Suitable for coastal and high-exposure environments
Designed for Architectural Integration
Clearline® is engineered to integrate seamlessly with surrounding building elements, making it a preferred system for architects and designers.
The system can be configured to:
- Conceal fixings within decks or concrete slabs
- Integrate drainage channels, spouting, or gutters
- Incorporate recessed or in-built lighting
- Align with cladding, soffits, and joinery
- Create continuous, uninterrupted glass balustrade lines
This flexibility makes Clearline ideal for luxury homes and architectural builds in coastal and alpine regions, including Mount Maunganui beachfront properties and Queenstown/Wanaka hillside developments.
Engineered for New Zealand Conditions
Designed to meet the New Zealand Building Code, Clearline provides safety and compliance without compromising design intent.
The system is well suited to:

Glass Vice and Clearline clamps are designed to accept either 9/16" or 5/8" laminated safety glass for frameless glass railing installations without a top cap rail, achieving the required 42" guard height. For installations where a top cap rail is used, 1/2" tempered glass is also an accepted specification.
For commercial applications — including stadiums, hospitality venues, and large-scale developments — Glass Vice hardware can accommodate thicker glass configurations. We recommend contacting Glass Vice USA directly to discuss the right specification for your project.

Yes — although you can use Clearline without the cover cladding. Clearline features an optional decorative cover plate that clads over all the clamps, concealing the fixing point for a clean, finished appearance. Cover plates are available in mill finish as standard and can be custom powder coated to match your Clearline system or surrounding architecture. This makes Clearline a popular choice on high-end residential and commercial projects where the fine details matter.
We do also offer individual bracket covers to ensure your design preferences are met.
The J Vice JV100 is a patented structural deck bracket that replaces traditional joist hangers and boundary connection hardware on any timber deck where a railing will be installed. It's engineered to resist the rotational leverage of wind loads and the lateral pressure of leaning — the real forces a railing places on a deck structure. No exposed fasteners means a cleaner surface finish, and the bracket locks boards against cupping for a stronger, more stable deck over time.
