When Madewell Construction set out to deliver a row of premium townhouses on George Street, they needed a balustrade solution that could carry the weight of the design — architecturally resolved, consistent across six units, and buildable at scale without the cost and lead time of custom steel fabrication.
The Visor 50/10 Strut was the answer.
Installed across upper-level balconies throughout the development, the Visor Strut system brings the visual language of bespoke vertical bar steel railings to a manufactured, repeatable product. Paired with white-painted brick, warm cedar battens, and timber soffit linings, the balustrade sits quietly in the palette — present enough to read as considered detail, understated enough to let the architecture do the talking.
The dusk photography tells the story well. As interior light spills through full-height glazing and the sky drops to deep blue, the Visor Strut profiles hold their line — clean verticals that frame the view without interrupting it. From the master bedroom balcony connection to the streetside facade rhythm, the system performs the same way at every scale: consistent, refined, resolved.
For developers and builders working at this level of finish, the Visor 50/10 Strut delivers what custom steel promises — without the custom steel price tag.
